Private Tuition - Changes to Terms & Conditions

Just a little update about new changes to terms & conditions regarding private tuition with myself (Phill Court Music)

Due to new regulations & law being introduced or amended by UK Government, The EU, Musicians Union & The Incorporated Society of Musicians. All these terms are outlined in the Lesson Terms & Conditions Information pack which you will receive at the commencement of lessons. Please note that this terms & conditions are guaranteed by the Musicians Union Private Teaching contract & the terms & conditions document.

The following changes are noted below & by whom.

1. Your data (contact details) will not be given or sold to any third parties under any circumstances. - EU guidelines & UK Government law.

2. A two week cooling off period for the contract for tuition is to be put in place at the start of lessons. - EU Law.

3. If a cancellation of a lesson is requested it will need to be rescheduled within one week of the original, or the full fee of the lesson will be payable. - Musicians Union & Incorporated Society of Musicians requirements.

4. A four week payment in advance for new students & a continuation of payments every four weeks for tuition with one ‘in hand’. - Musicians Union & Incorporated Society of Musicians requirements.

Existing Terms

Lessons are to be held once per week minimum. This includes lessons in person or via Skype.

Lessons will take place on the days/during the hours of - Monday - Friday 09:00am - 23:00pm

Lesson times & dates can only be changed with notice of one week, but no guarantee can be made about available times/dates.

Lessons will be provided at my studio only (excluding Skype & any other special arrangement)

Individual lesson plans will be written for each student & for each lesson. These will be kept on file & are able to be requested with notice of 24 hours.

Lessons on different instruments/subjects can be scheduled together ie: Guitar & Bass, with alternating lessons every week.

If the student is under 18 or requires a suitable adult, they will need to be present for each & every lesson.

If special needs or special arrangements are to be taken into consideration. Please contact me at the first instance so that lessons can be planned and arranged appropriately beforehand.

Exams are to be booked trough Phill Court Music for all subjects excluding GCSE, As & A Level Music.
